Ho, Ho, Homoousios! This festive design gives a playful nod to the legend of Saint Nicholas slapping Arius at the Council of Nicaea, where the deity of Christ was at the heart of the controversy. Arius taught that the Son was a created being, while the council affirmed that He is eternally God, homoousios, “of the same substance” as the Father. In the debates that followed, a single Greek letter, an iota, distinguished *homoousios* from homoiousios, meaning “of similar substance.” One little letter, one enormous distinction, and a reminder of who Christmas celebrates: God Himself come in the flesh.

This printed design simulates the look of stitched fabric on a high-quality Independent Trading Company pullover sweatshirt.

This sweatshirt runs a little on the slim side. Be sure to look at the sizing chart. If you are in between sizes, we recommend ordering a size up for a loose comfortable fit. These are printed on the same sweatshirts from previous years.
